OUR APPROACH
We understand that trauma potentially impacts on every area of a person’s life. We are specialist providers of trauma-informed care training and therapeutic support.
We understand that the clients we work with, and many staff, are survivors of mistreatment, abuse and trauma. We understand that there are always reasons for the way a person feels, thinks and behaves linked with what was done, what happened to them.
We create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your experiences and work towards healing.
Our therapy and therapeutic support and training plans are tailored to your specific needs and goals.
We work closely with individuals, families, and care teams to ensure a comprehensive, consistent and planned approach to care and recovery.
Our services are provided by neurodivergent staff who understand the wide ranging differences, preferences and support needs that autistic, adhd and neurodivergent people can experience. We work to understand a person’s preferences and strengths, needs and wishes to enable access to the best quality care, support and therapy possible.
THERAPEUTIC APPROACH AND MODEL
We place significant focus on working with health and care staff, teams and involved services and agencies.
We understand the significant gains that can be made when the supporters of individuals have a shared meaningful and compassionate understanding of the person’s experiences, preferences and needs. This leads to improvements in engagement, staff responses and wellbeing, effective use of services and longer term quality of life for the person.
Staff need support to be able to do this effectively using therapeutic understanding of presenting needs and therapeutic techniques to aid emotional regulation. Work with the system around the person can lead to significant improvements in containing the anxiety that the experiences of complex trauma, dissociation, self injury and suicidality can evoke.
We aim to support the development of trauma informed systems and practice, through the following approaches:
SURVIVOR CENTRED
The voice, safety, wishes, choices, needs, ways of coping of the survivor are listen to, believed and prioristised.
TRAUMA INFORMED
All experiences are understood through the lens of trauma- what was done to, what happened to, the client. This extends to the personal and work experiences of staff whose safety and wellbeing must be attended to in order to achieve sustained safe, compassionate and effective care.
NEUROAFFIRMATIVE
Neurodivergent experiences are recognised, validated and understood. Individual neurodivergent traits and experiences (including but not limited to: sensory and social preferences, cognitive styles and needs, masking and camouflaging, environmental preferences and adaptions, sources of neurodivergent joy, stimming and glimming, demand avoidance, justice and rejection sensitivity) inform the design and delivery of formulation, therapy and therapeutic support, to improve the accessibility and effectiveness of the therapeutic work and the support.
RECOVERY ORIENTED
Therapeutic optimism is seen as fundamental. Individual recovery goals and hopes guide the work with the client and team.

We believe in building trust through open communication and ethical practices, ensuring the well-being of both clients and staff.
